RCMP issues 24-hour eviction notice to Caycuse forest defenders

On May 17, the RCMP gave 24 hours notice to Caycuse forest defenders to vacate the injunction zone or face arrest. A roadblock is set 25 miles from the camp, with a tactical team deployed. The Rainforest Flying Squad issued an open letter to the RCMP outlining expectations for peaceful protest and warning of legal observers and media presence. The dispute involves logging of old-growth forests on unceded Pacheedaht territory without consent.
