Release of 5,400 Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Larvae in Helliwell Provincial Park

A major milestone was reached in the Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Recovery Project with the release of approximately 5,400 larvae in Helliwell Provincial Park over three weeks in March. The project involves habitat restoration and collaboration among multiple organizations and First Nations to re-establish this endangered butterfly species.
