Scottish and Welsh Independence Movements Gain Momentum

Following Brexit, the Scottish National Party promises a second independence referendum if it wins the May 2021 election, while the Welsh nationalist party Plaid Cymru is promising an independence referendum by 2026 if it wins. These movements reflect growing regional desires for independence from the United Kingdom.
