Shareholder resolutions at major oil companies including Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, and Chevron have gained significant support in 2021, pushing for carbon emissions reductions. ExxonMobil elected two pro-climate activists to its board, and Chevron passed a resolution forcing emissions cuts.
