Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Habitat Restoration at Helliwell Park

Hornby Island Community School students and adults participated in habitat restoration at Helliwell Provincial Park to support the endangered Taylor’s Checkerspot butterfly. Activities included removing invasive weeds and planting native species to prepare for the release of captive-reared caterpillars.
