The Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Recovery Project continues habitat enhancement, captive rearing, monitoring, and public outreach to restore populations in British Columbia, including Helliwell Provincial Park. The species is federally listed as endangered and requires open sunny meadows with specific host plants. Multiple organizations and First Nations are involved in the collaborative recovery effort.
