Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Recovery Project Releases Larvae in Helliwell Provincial Park

The Taylor’s Checkerspot Butterfly Recovery Project released approximately 1,300 larvae in late March 2023 into restored coastal bluff meadows in Helliwell Provincial Park. This ongoing project involves habitat restoration and captive rearing to support the endangered butterfly's survival.
